CHAPLAINCY
Bradford Forster Academy is a Christian faith school and our chaplaincy department plays a central and vital role, in making the Christian faith real. Through our values of Respect, Growth and Community – backed by our #attitudeofgratitude – we encourage students to live by our school strapline of
‘Everything is possible for one who believes’ (Colossians 3:14).
Our chaplaincy is about JOY

Jesus centred.
Christianity is about many things but more than any other it is about one person, Jesus. We seek to make the true person of Jesus real in our collective worship, our times for reflection, our Religious Education and other lessons, and in how we live together as a community.

Open to all.
Our chaplaincy is open to all people, with or without faith. We exist to encourage and support all our students whatever their gender, culture, race or age. Whilst we hold to the truths of the Bible, we welcome questions and challenge. We are inclusive and loving. Our chaplaincy provides pastoral and emotional support.

Young people focused.
Our chaplaincy is there for all, both staff and students, but it is especially focused on the young people who are at the heart of our school. We serve to see them fulfil their potential in their lives and in God.
We partner with a number of groups and individuals to help us to invest in our young people, such as the local C of E Churches, the local Salvation Army, Missional Generations and Life Church, Bradford.

Lindon Craven is our chaplain and leads our chaplaincy service.
