SEND INFORMATION
Bradford Forster Academy is founded on a Christian ethos with a strong aim of working cohesively in the best interests of our students. This is reflected in our vision:
“Everything is possible for those who believe.”
We aim to ensure that all students, including those with special educational needs, are properly supported so that they can play a full and active role in school life, achieve their academic potential and make a successful transition into adulthood.
At Bradford Forster Academy we welcome the opportunity to discuss your child’s special educational needs and how, as a school, we can support your child’s learning.
Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) is Ms Helen Goacher.
If you would like to meet with Ms Goacher appointments can be made by
emailing jane.ormerod@bfa.bdat-academies.org or by calling 01274 302400.
We also offer a drop-in session every Wednesday, 12pm to 5pm.
Please email jane.ormerod@bfa.bdat-academies.org if you would like an appointment.
For general queries the first point of contact to discuss your child’s needs should be your son/daughters Form Tutor or Year Team.
For further information regarding our provision for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) please contact Ms Goacher on the details above.
